Normal Compensation

By: Isabelle Morgan

I don’t know how it started

Or maybe

It’s that I don’t believe

The greying guess

Of a blank beginning

But I can tell you

about the end

A finish

When I realized I

had lost my vision

If I tell you

It is a line

Just know

I am missing

The bend in my knees

And a curve in my back

There is no slope on my chest

Or dip where

 I am told

should be a pit

I cope with crossed eyes

Confusing inversions
